Tips for 22nd November – Premier League, Football League & Boxing

Featured Tips:

Leicester vs Sunderland

Leicester have hit a shocking run of form of late. No win, point or goal in their last 4 games, and just 1 point from their last 6 games. This, evidently, is relegation form, and they’ll be looking for at least something in what should be a cagey affair at the King Power Stadium. Their home form has been their bright light so far this year, and they need to make it a fortress if they are to stay in this league.

Sunderland come into Saturday’s game on the back of two solid results; a 1-1 draw at home to Everton & a 3-1 win away at Crystal Palace. At Selhurst Park they were perhaps a little lucky, with a great strike by Gomez and a last minute counter attack goal by Fletcher. On the whole they deserved the 3 points, but 3-1 was flattering.

Predicting a cagey affair today, backing the unders.

Prediction – Leicester 1-1 Sunderland

The Pick – Under 2.5 goals – 4/5

Arsenal vs Man Utd

Arsenal are favourites at 11/10 to take all 3 points here today at the Emirates. Although Arsenal are unbeaten at home this year – W2 D3, and Utd are yet to win D3 L2, I still think Utd are heavily overpriced at 13/5 for the win here.

Wenger does not have a good track record against the other ‘big’ teams in the league. The nervousness seems to exude from Arsenal at times, especially against good attacking sides, or when they need to just see out a game for the win. With the likes of Rooney, RVP, Di Maria and Mata all trying to break down the Arsenal defence, I can’t see them keeping Utd at bay for 90 mins. Sanchez will no doubt be problematic for Utd’s weak defence, and we can only pray that Welbeck nabs a goal against his old side.

Van Gaal will be desperate for the 3 points today having gone 5 away games without a win, summing up their stop start opening to their league campaign. They are without Falcao, but Rooney returns and looks in strong form (although against ‘Championship’ players – Graeme Souness) if his performance against the Scots is anything to go by. If their defence can play well and the frontmen perform to the calibre we all know they can, then Utd can at least come away with a point.

United have a real chance of getting all 3 points here, and the odds simply do not reflect that. Playing safe with the +0.5 asian handicap which still offers real value here.

Prediction – Arsenal 1-1 Man Utd

The Pick – Utd +0.5 asian handicap – 5/6

Nathan Cleverly vs Tony Bellew

Really cannot see Bellew losing this one, he seems like a man possessed. Think he’ll just have too much power, heart and desire to lose this grudge match. Bellew by KO, TKO or DQ is tempting at 5/2 and may be worth a few quid.

Prediction – Bellew to win by KO or TKO.

The Pick – Bellew to win – 10/11

Worth a flutter – Bellew win by Ko or TKo – 5/2

Tips at a glance:

Torquay vs Gateshead – BTTS – 7/10

Bournemouth vs Ipswich – Ipswich +0.75 asian handicap – 7/8

Crawley vs Scunthorpe – BTTS – 10/11

Chesterfield vs Barnsley – Barnsley +0.75 asian handicap – 7/10

Exeter vs Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury -0.25 asian handicap – 7/9
