Burnley vs Hull
Lowly Burnley host Hull at Turf Moor in what should be an interesting game.
Burnley are rooted to the bottom of the table, without a win all season, and come into today’s game on a run of 3 defeats. Most worrying for Dyche’s men is their lack of goals, managing only 4 goals in their opening 10 games. There is a real possibility Burnley could do a Derby of seasons past (2007-08 – Derby managed 1 win all season and broke the lowest points record with just 11 points) if they can’t turn their season around, and it’s up to the Chairman to make the call on whether or not Dyche is the man to keep them up. The bookies have them as favourites for the win here today at 6/4, which seems very underpriced considering their start to the season.
Hull will be disappointed with the start they’ve made to the season, currently sitting in 14th without stringing any real form together. They have managed to score a decent number of goals, however, scoring 2 against both City & Arsenal. Although they are yet to win away from the KC this year, the have only lost once. They have picked up valuable draws at Anfield, The Emirates and St James’ Park and will be hoping to build on these games at Turf Moor. The bookies have them as a surprisingly big underdog, 23/10, and we are taking full advantage of this as this is a game they have a real chance of winning. Jelavic, Abel Hernandez and Ben Arfa offer real quality in the final third and they’ll be looking to bag themselves a goal against the league’s second worst defence.
Expecting Burnley’s poor start to continue at Turf Moor and heap more pressure on Sean Dyche. The odds are in favour of Hull and we’re playing it safe with the +0.25 handicap.
