Featured Tips:

Liverpool vs Stoke

Saturday’s mid table clash promises to be an interesting one, with the home side in dire need of all 3 points to end a bad run of results.

Liverpool’s poor start to the season is reflected in their odds of 8/11. Last season one would expect to see Liverpool at 1/3 for the win in a game such as this at Anfield. But without Suarez and Sturridge, and Balotelli in no form whatsoever, their free flowing fearless attack of last season seems a distant memory. I think Liverpool will win comfortably today against a stuttering Stoke side. They should create enough problems for the Stoke defence, and barring yet another weak defensive display, have enough to win comfortably.

Stoke have had a stop start campaign so far this year, failing to put any real form together. Surprisingly, their away form has been slightly better than at the Britannia. They’ve picked up great wins at both the Etihad and White Hart Lane, but have failed to win at QPR, Sunderland and Hull, just about summing up the start to their season. They’ll certainly get chances at Anfield today, but think they won’t have enough to get a point or more.

Prediction – Liverpool 3-1 Stoke

Eddie Chambers vs Dorian Darch – Chambers to win by KO, TKO or DQ – 11/8
